Biographie
Emanuele Bosi, Medical Scientist, Professor of Internal Medicine in charge of the Department of Private Medicine and the Diabetology and Hepatology Units at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. Founder and director until 2017 of the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), a translational research institute comprising San Raffaele's clinical and diabetes research facilities. Researcher entirely dedicated to diabetes, particularly autoimmunity associated with type 1 diabetes and the use of autoantibodies for prediction and prevention of the disease. Founder of the JDRF/TrialNet International Center, evolved into INNODIA-HARVEST/INNODIA , the FID-INNODIA center, current partner of EDENT1FI and the European Pre-T1D Registry, all funded by the EU . In 2023 he contributed to the design and approval by the Italian Parliament of the law for nationwide screening of type 1 diabetes and celiac disease in the Italian pediatric population.
